We will be meeting on the 3rd floor of the Library in the Hibiscus Room. More info to follow.

Did you know that building an iPhone app from scratch may lead to gray hair, a furrowed brow, and other signs of premature aging? Thankfully, you can learn how to keep your youthful appearance by work smarter.

Justin Kent, the mind behind the Miami Herald's numerous iPhone offerings, shows you how to get a huge head start by using open source frameworks and structuring your own code into a reusable library. He'll also cover other critical topics, including source code management and app store approval.

Justin has a way of making advanced topics like cross-project dependencies easy to understand. Bring your laptop and get ready to create your next app - in record time.

Great Meetup. Wonderful content and a great crowd in a comfy location.
    •  The speaker (Justin Kent) and the material outlined was extremely beneficial. The concept of what was taught makes total sense for trying to mass produce very similar iPhone Apps and had never occurred to me as a possibility. It was a bit over the level that I am currently at, however it is always great to see what is possible or next in my learning progression. Taking in material that is just over the horizon, makes me set my goals a little higher. The speaker was clear, concise and the interactive environment of a real-time class-like environment was much better over reviewing PowerPoint slides. I liked that today's examples had errors, we spoke out-loud about possible solutions which including debugging. This is the real world; one letter in the wrong place or missing file and errors are thrown up. I deal with these myself all the time, trying to add an additional feature which takes code in four or five different places, then trying to build and pow! 20 build errors.
